About
OSHI is a celebrity stylist and trusted hair care brand. Through hard work, innovation and grit, she has established a healthy hair enterprise. Her genius: creating natural, trending styles that effortlessly conceal a woman’s everyday hair flaws — and treating all her clients like celebrities.
For more than 20 years, the Atlanta-based licensed cosmetologist has transformed clients into public displays of hair artistry. Reality TV stars; prominent sitcom personalities; major network news anchors; women in the workforce; and wives of professional athletes and successful music producers have all sat in her styling chair. They leave looking and feeling like fame.
Oshi is known for her expertise in hair extensions. However, her work extends from micro links, custom wigs, and ponytails to Keratin treatments, precision cuts, highlighting, and custom coloring as well.
Her signature styles have appeared on album covers to national publications and networks: The Atlanta Journal-Constitution, Bravo, BET, Georgia Public Broadcasting, Essence Magazine, Jezebel Magazine, Court TV and Hype Hair Magazine. Internationally, she’s graced the digital pages of London’s Black Beauty & Hair Magazine.
The Hampton, Virginia, native started her craft as a teen, cutting and rolling her late grandmother’s hair using brown paper bags. After a series of apprenticeships with professional stylists in the area and watching her late brother in hair flair action, Oshi decided to advance in the industry. To do so, she needed to move to where everything hair and beauty lived: Hotlanta.
She completed her cosmetology license from New Horizons Adult Education then moved to Atlanta to earn a bachelor’s degree in fashion design from American Intercontinental University. She coupled this knowledge with mastering natural-looking hair extensions from veteran celebrity stylist Janel Smith, owner of Cocoa Mane in Brooklyn.
Currently, Oshi educates women virtually about hair care concerns during COVID-19. She is a guest speaker on Georgia Public Broadcasting’s new podcast, Speakeasy, with New York Times bestselling author Denene Millner.
During the global health crisis, Oshi prepares to shift her talents into the medical side of hair care. She especially wants to help cancer patients and those born with hair loss conditions since she specializes in styling techniques for scalp disorders like indeterminate hair loss, alopecia, and thinning.
